Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, friendly, and detail-oriented Front Desk / Insurance Coordinator to join our dental team. This role is essential in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring accurate insurance verification and financial coordination. The ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills and prior experience with dental insurance verification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service from check-in to check-out.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments (Dentrix), and manage the daily schedule efficiently.
- Verify dental insurance benefits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Clearly communicate insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and treatment estimates to patients.
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collect payments and review financial arrangements with patients.
- Coordinate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Handle patient questions and concerns professionally and compassionately.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a dental office (required).
- Proven experience with dental insurance verification (required).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
